What the Cameras Didn't Catch at the House of Stassi Launch

By now you've probably seen the reel. Hulu and Freeform posted it right after their House of Stassi launch event, and it's exactly what a launch reel should be — glossy, fast, fun. A few seconds of it show Stassi sitting down with Atiya, our lead aura reader, getting her aura photographed. That clip only shows you the scene — not what was actually said in it.

Her aura came back blue — the color of communication, of being the one people trust to say the honest thing. It's a color we see constantly in our work, and one that almost always comes with the same undercurrent: someone who's better at speaking up for everyone else than for themselves.

Atiya walked her through her aura reading. The message wasn't complicated — give yourself more grace, stop being so hard on yourself, you're doing a good job. Simple things to hear. Harder things to actually believe, even when you're used to being the one who says them to other people.

Then the reading moved to the top of her portrait, and that's where it landed. A hazy purple sitting above everything else — the part of an aura reading that speaks to vision and where someone's headed. The message there was quiet, but it's the one that got her: hold onto your clarity, because it's working.

That's when the tears actually came. Not from the "be nicer to yourself" part — from being told, in the middle of launching a show about stepping back into her own spotlight, that the vision she's been holding onto is already paying off.

And this is the part the reel will never show you: as it happened, Atiya kept fanning her face, careful not to smudge her makeup before she had to be back in front of a camera in five minutes, while still quietly telling her, use your words. Somehow both things were true in the same moment — a real reading, and a room full of press twenty feet away.

It's a strange, small thing to witness — someone being told to trust her own voice, at the exact moment she's re-launching her career on the idea that this time, she's doing it on her own terms. We don't think that was a coincidence. Blue auras usually need to hear it from someone else before they believe it. That night, hers came from a stranger she'd just met a few minutes earlier. Atiya’s ability to truly connect with guests, even in a few brief moments is unparalleled and is what helps keep the magic alive within Inner Light Aura.
